Description and Features of the SITE/ASSET
La pieve, di origine romanica, si trova nella parte occidentale dell'isola d'Elba e risulta di particolare interesse sia per le vicende storiche che la riguardano che per la particolare ubicazione geografica. Lo stato a rudere in cui versa la chiesa, rende necessari interventi di restauro per quanto riguarda le superfici e la struttura in genere. La pieve si trova sulla strada che collega i centri montani di Poggio e Marciana al mare , in una zona dell'isola in cui si ritrovano numerose architetture religiose di epoca romanica e altre militari risalenti al tempo della dominazione pisana dell’isola.
