Description and Features of the SITE/ASSET
Il Monte Capanne con i suoi 1019 metri di altezza sul livello del mare è la vetta più alta dell'isola d'Elba e dell'intera provincia di Livorno. Situato nella parte occidentale dell'isola, è costituito da rocce di origine plutonica, classificata come granodiorite, che, in molti casi, si presenta come particolari formazioni dette localmente cote, tozze e pinzaloni.
