Description and Features of the SITE/ASSET
Isola di 40 ettari occupata da un insediamento preistorico nel II millennio a.C. e, successivamente, da una fiorente colonia fenicia (VIII-IV secolo a.C., uno dei siti archeologici meglio conservati del Mediterraneo centrale 40 ha island at the western tip of Sicily which hosted a Prehistoric settlement in the 2nd millennium BC and, successively, a flourishing Phoenician colony (8th-4th century BCE). It is one of the best preserved archaeological site of central Mediterranean [Image: MAM]
