Description and Features of the SITE/ASSET
Il Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Reggio Calabria è uno dei 20 musei statali più importanti d'Italia. L'edificio moderno è stato concepito per fini espositivi. Elementi caratteristici: -la sezione di archeologia subacquea è stata allestita per dare un’adeguata visibilità ai Bronzi di Riace, tra i capolavori più significativi dell’arte greca. - un’area archeologica interna che comprende una parte della grande necropoli ellenistica, di circa 100 tombe, scoperta durante la costruzione dell’edificio. - numerosi reperti provenienti dai territori delle città greche e romane della Calabria presenti nel Lapidario, e nei depositi.
